I believe that to make a good argument, you need to look at both sides of it.

For abortion: I understand how you could argue the fact that if a woman is raped, and gets pregnant with the rapist's child, then she should be allowed to have an abortion.

Against: The child did not choose to be killed. The second an egg is fertilized, there is life. So killing that child because it's a reminder of the horrible thing that happened to you, is still wrong. A better alternative is to set it up for adoption. I mean the child never asked to be "created"

For: Another point could be if an unwed teen gets pregnant, she should be allowed abortion, right?

Against: No she shouldn't. She made the mistake of either not wearing a condom, having sex in the first place, or not taking birth control. So she needs to take responsibility for her actions.

For: The last "for" argument I can think of is a mother of many children, no husband, and no money, gets pregnant again, she MUST be allowed abortion.

Against: Wrong again. Why was she having unprotected sex? And if she was raped, put it up for adoption. Referring to my first "against" argument, the child never asked to be here.

I agree with this. yes its waste off life but the life has the chance of being of next Hitler or Stalin, yes it could be the next Mozart or genius but would you take the chance?

The fact is what if a women got prego at age 16 or 18 they don't have the money too raise it unless we had a decent welfare state. unless you're in moral, you would either allow abortion and keep a free market economy, or you can make abortion illegal and have a welfare state, i think a utopia would have both it legal and welfare state.

I'm struggling to read what you're saying but i think i got the jist of it.
And if the girl has a child a puts up for adoption the adopting parents should be getting the child benefit they the ones who be paying for them until they 18 so they should get help to pay for food, cloths, etc. the entire point of child benefit is to help the parents or guardians of child to raise the child.

It's very simple. If abortions are illegal then there will be illegal abortions which puts the mother at extreme risk since proper equipment usually isn't used in such cases.

We can either legalize it and do something about the core problem, unwanted pregnancies, OR making it illegal, feeling good about yourself for saving all of those... persons (and by persons I mean the lump of cells laying around in the uterus) and then looking away from the fact that they happen anyway, but with a higher mortality rate.

So to me it really doesn't sound very hard, but that's just me.

Abortion is not a topic that should be in our government hands . Abortion is a moral issue and not a legal one. Although I personally do not believe in abortion unless circumstances dictate that it's better for the mother or in instances of rape or molestation. I believe that is an issue that one must search their own moral code to discover what is best for them. It should never however reside in government hands. Government was never meant to dictate good moral code of the people we are supposed to govern our selves. The government has far too much control as it is.

Abortion is a very tabbo subject, as it is the act of physicaly exterminating a "living" thing (I am avoiding terms that will make it so you empathize with this situation, so you can stay unbiased as possible).

There will be people who are completely invincible to our arguments(A.K.A retrumplicans), but I'll just get straight to the point, abortion should be legalized, but ONLY in certain, very specific cases.

If you and your partner are in a mature, adult relationship where you are able to make rational decisions, but somehow (during intercourse) you end up impregnated, you should NOT be able to terminate the pregnancy. On the other how if you are raped and impregnated, incestuous activities which lead to pregnancy, or any other situations which would cause you to resent your child or make it so you are unable to raise a child in a safe and effective manner, you should be able to have the option to abort.

The reason why, I am on the side of abortion contrary to adoption is that the adoption service is very traumatizing you young children, especially to babies. If you are being tossed around like a frisby for all of your childhood and not having a concrete role model throughout your most developmental stages if you life, your are more than likely to end up with some psychological problems.

in conclusion abortion should ONLY be used in cases where the parent is rendered unable to fully attend to the child's needs because of the events that caused the pregnancy.

It's the problem between two human rights, should women have the right to do things with their own body,or should babies have the right to live.

In my opinion,i think the laws should take care of the vulnerable side, the babies should get their basic human right, the right to survive.

In the other side, what about the woman's right to being freedom, first, the right of freedom is builded on a precondition, which is they don't damage other people's right. second, the woman choose to have a unsafe sex and turn out to be pregnant, she should take the responsibility, atleast she should born the baby to the world.

Laws always have space for exception(at least in my country),if a woman was rapid or some other reason that forced to be pregnant, she shouldn't be punished for abortion,i don't know how to say it in common law,but in roman law,we would censor the situation,to judge the behavior is illegal or legal.

legal abortion will increase the illegal or temporary sex relations. This will also increase the sex relations in early age. Abortion should be allowed with some restriction and only in special conditions.

As for abortion, it's an extremely controversial topic because it depends where you believe life begins in the womb, which many would argue is an opinion. I live in the United States of America and the constitution, the law of the land dictates that nobody shall be deprived of life or liberty without due process. Abortion is, in essence, the deprivation of life and liberty without due process. Many would argue that it's the women's right to choose what she does with her body, which is true, but during a pregnancy, it's not just her body anymore, the baby's body isn't hers to do whatever she wants with. I personally believe life starts at conception, as I don't think life would start anywhere else, else what is conception? So as for what I think, abortion shouldn't be legal.

You are saying that if they girl keeps the baby. If she sets it up for adoption she doesn't need money to take care of it.

Well I believe a normal teen would Neva really resort to condoms and stuff..
The first time u do sumthng is when u want to enjoy it the most..
At such a stage, the person should be given a chance and for that, abortion is necessary.
