Before the existence of the orgs and groups supporting the rights ofLGTBQs, it has been embarked to the mindset of the society that the main purpose of marriage is to reproduce more citizens through the union of a man and a woman. This is where we insert our refuting belief. We understand that majority of the millenials who are against gay marriage are either 1) applying and being obedient of their religious scriptures or 2) think that man is to man or woman is to woman is completely immoral or just not right. But before religion comes in this speech, we have to acknowledge that LGBTs are citizens of the nation as well and that it is the governmen'ts responsibiility to cater to the needs and rights of its people. As much as it is a right for matrimony to heterosexual individuals, it has to be made a right to for homosexuals to be married as well. We need not to be deprived .be

As for the people who claim God doesn't like gays I think you should read your holy scripture. For example the bible actually condemns shrimp, yes shrimp, more than it does the homosexual. Are you going to start a campaign against shrimp now? I doubt it. Black people, white and Asian are all getting to the point where they are equal so why not LGBTQ who is anyone to say one love is more pure or more 'right' than another.

Though government and laws are created based on the general mindset and morals of the public, nobody should be able to tell another person who they can or can't love. Much of the society uses religion as a basis for their reasoning against gay marriage which, even though uses people's moral and thoughts, includes religion, and religion should not interfere with government. Morals adapt over time, where things once unacceptable become acceptable without a second thought, and my stand if for the rights of the gays to have a place in society and also be fully accepted and treated equally in the eyes of the government, after all they are still people and shouldn't be treated unfairly because other people don't like how they live. (The Salem witch trails were a result of people not liking how other people lived and wanted to get rid of them, and is looked at as a horrible moment in U.S. history)
