Being a young person, I have first hand experience of moral and ethical corruption of many decent people as a result of these shallow, pernicious exploits. I find it sincerely frustrating that so many will wait in anticipation of the next selection of such mundane gossip. It would be relieving to know that others share my frustrations.

I disagree with the term reality Tv because in reality, no one lives like that, it is a misnomer, a badly misnamed genre

Rebuttal to: Mark Show

Personally i find Reality TV to be the figurative standard of simplicity in human culture. With that said, there will always be venues for people to waste their time. Especially venues that are poison to youth. However, chances are that if someone isn't watching Reality TV, they're playing XBOX for 8 hours a day, spending all day on YouTube, or smoking weed with their friends (sounds a lot like my younger years) or something equally timewasting

Television in general zombifies the human brain into an Alpha mode mind state in which our focus becomes hypnotized and entranced and supposedly more likely to accept whatever is shown.

It is unhealthy for the subconscious. Although I do not even watch TV anymore because the commercials drove me crazy, reality TV shows are merely re-edited mini documentaries of select demographics that are defined enough to be related to and criticized. Bad publicity is good publicity, and they know this. They know Jersey Shore pisses you off...but the buzz and hate is still energy that brings the attention to spark advertising.

You don't need TV. You have Hulu, Netflix, & YouTube for your visual entertainment whenever you feel like watching something.
