Although I believe both baseball and football are both deeply rooted in America's history, I believe that baseball has to America's number one pastime. It's the popularity of baseball in the days of Babe Ruth that all sports strive to achieve. It is with that type of popularity or attention to one specific thing that brings people together. Baseball definitely has to be America's favorite pastime, well at least it is my book.

Watching baseball is very boring. It takes a lot of pitches before something even slightly interesting happens. So 80% of the time, you are staring at a tobacco spitting baseball player looking at first base and pretending to throw a baseball, only to throw it at first base instead.

Football is a lot more exciting. Every play has 22 players doing the best they can to accomplish their individual objective so that their team can move the ball in the direction they want it to go.
