Money Can't Buy Happiness

Money purchases Temporary happiness. Yes you can buy your way a trip to costa rica. But where do you purchase better family relations? A deep connection with son, daughter or people? Real and not artificial support and love from your spouse or love of your life? You cannot, you see you can list all the material things and trips but at the end of the day it does not matter. If your a true human being with passion for the vital things in life you'll nod and agree with me. If anything those things could burrow you in a deeper hole. Say that you and or wife are on rocky ground or your Prestigious job is not for you. People plan a escape from their problems instead of facing them and resolving the conflict. But if the conflict was addressed instead of the pocketbook the result would be the person with the burden being happier than being on a beach in a exotic island. Your love or self interest? Confusion occurs because thats cloaked as your choices. Money masks and cloaks situation better than you and i can comprehend my friend.

"""As shallow as it of me to say this but yes money CAN buy happiness. Many people have it all, family, friends, education, but all they are lacking is he comfort of being financially stable""" Whats your point?? Now flip the tables. Theirs plenty of people i know with a substantial amount of MONEY and lack the support and love base with their family as a result are completely miserable!!!! No AMOUNT of money will drag their parents, loved one, or even friends to their door and create the relationship they desire!!!! It weighs out much like this Family or Material.. We all need materials as much as we need family! Their is no either or but What is most important in most peoples lifes are family and friends? Could we agree? Having love and friendship creates a TREMENDOUS happiness within us. That cannot be purchased! Money purchases temporary happiness which is why we constantly go on spending sprees. Money cant buy steady happiness like heal your mother and father's relationship before a nasty divorce in which you suffer emotionally!

If were talking scenarios much like poverty; THEY NEED FOOD, SHELTER, CLOTHS. They can farm to get their food or even trade. Does not matter as long they get food? If you asking a starving person in africa if they wanted 100 meals or 100 dollars. They'd pick the food not the money. I understand the purchase of food deprives from money. But the happiness is coming from being able to consume the food not the currency. Therefore money is not the deciding factor here even though it contributes. Let me remind you, your targeting poverty stricken people? Lets take in terms of overall population or else im going to bring into play high powered people such as Bernie Madoff that have all the money they could ever ask for. Yet he scammed thousands of american people and was responsible for his son's suicide. He had plenty of money yet that did not keep him content and desired what money could not purchase.

Money will not make anyone truly happy, perhaps relaxed and bathed in luxury but not happy. Happiness can not be molded down into material things. In most cases happiness is created between 2 or more people, the good times on has with their family or friends, or the romance between lovers, but never something you can buy at a store. However money may buy temporary amusement or excitement, but not the feeling of true joy.

It depends on what does "happiness" mean for human beings. For example, some people may consider that money is freedom, and freedom is happiness. As for me happiness is -be healthy, have family with strong health. To be rich but To see how one of the dearest people suffer from unknown or incurable disease at the same, however make you unhappy person.

You can buy things or experiences you like. When you pay to go on a holiday, you are actually paying to have happiness on your holiday. Experiences are what gives you the happiness, but to have the experience you must first pay for it.

It depends on the person. Some derive happiness from sh*t they buy while others just need the bare essentials to stay comfortable.

As shallow as it of me to say this but yes money CAN buy happiness. Many people have it all, family, friends, education, but all they are lacking is he comfort of being financially stable. Sometimes it is money that stands in the way of happiness. I know many people who would be much more happier if they were able to pay off a simple bill. What about all those starving people around the world, you wouldn't exactley call them "happy" would you? I'm sure they would be happy if they had a stable home, food & water, just basic neccessaties that MONEY could provide.

Money can't buy happiness....but it sure can buy 99.9999% of everything else. You can use money to invest in phsycology and other forms of learning material which can teach you methods of becoming happy. In other words money can be utilized by an unhappy person to aquire tools for becoming happy. an Unhappy person, without any money......well, they must hope for charity or rely on something good and free to happen for them.

Happiness is subjective. Money may not be able to buy you happiness, but it may be able for someone else

I see you're point, but this arguement can be weighed out both ways!! You're point isn't exactly clear tbh. You claim that money can NOT buy happiness at all..but infact it can!! I have witnessed it with my own eyes. Homeless hungry children that you see on the tv all they are asking for is money so they don't have to go another day without food, all they really want is shelter. You misunderstood what I was saying. My point was that yes money CAN buy happiness but not complete happiness, NOT eternal happiness. But then again your point was also bias. Who the hell are you to say money CAN'T buy happiness. Are you the starving, homeless child in Africa or wherever country for that matter? NO you are not! Yes money can't fix a divorce or cure a terminally ill person but it doesn't claim to!! NOW FLIP THE TABLES!!!

To an extent, money buys happiness. Also without money being a poor person won't make you happy at all.
