Throughout history mankind everywhere has been demonstrating globalized beliefs. Globalization is a process of interaction and integration among people, companies, and governments of different nations. It is a process driven by international trade and investment and aided by information technology. No matter where people live, individuals are always affected by globalization on a daily basis. As well it is a connection, a spreading of concepts, goods, and ideas.
Think about how much stuff you own that was made or manufactured in an undeveloped country or simply a nation-state where labour is cheap. In 2001, American consumers spent 102 billion dollars on products made in China. In 2011, American consumers spent 399 billion dollars on products made in China. It is obvious that globalization has increased and continues to affect everyone.
As well, what you watch, see, or experience has large effects on your identity. Things like YouTube, Facebook, the news, or even reality TV helps us stay connected and can keep us up to date on current events and trends, which in turn keeps us globalized.
