This is not a matter of interpretation, it is a matter of definition and by
definition a nation is: a large aggregate of people united by common descent,
history, culture, or language, inhabiting a particular country or territory
or
a North American Indian people or confederation of peoples

That only supports my argument. If you think the definition of a
nation is open to interpretation, then a race who interprets the
meaning of nation to include race is then a nation.

Hey my friend, you are the one who said people can interpret "nation" in different ways. I stand behind my conviction that this is a matter of definition and the definition of the word supports the argument that a race can be considered a nation because they are bound by common heritage, history, and culture. This is like arguing over wether or not "and" is a conjunction. It just is.

It is a matter of interpretation as one can define a nation in different ways. The nazis based their nationalism on ethnicity and race, the basque separatist movement in spain is also a 'nationalist' movement but is based on a territorial not ethnic mode of differentiation from others.

Jews, various Latinos, Arabs, and various blacks come in different races. You can't clearly define the boundaries of any group. Using language isn't sufficient, and relying on DNA does nothing as people have historically used phenotype not DNA to define the racial classes. Even though Phenotype is largely based on DNA, various groups with similar phenotypes (Black Africans, Australians, some east Indians) are very similar but have different DNA, while people within India, of various black ancestry and Native American ancestry have similar DNA but come out looking VERY different in the same nation.

I agree that a Nation is both territorial and cultural. In China, most people are not only the same race but thet have the same customs and beliefs. On the other hand in America we have mixture of cultures and races. A person here my be muslim but also enjoy Rianna. They may be black but surround themself with white friends and listen to rock or country. Race isn't enough to make a nation, that's why we use our geographic boundries to define our nations.
