"hey, i really dont like your house, imma take that wall down, and cover that window, man that colour's too old, live in the now, im painting it red. umm move this table over here..and by the way, imma revoke your right to pray, and violently beat you and your family in the street and ruin your property."

That is whats going on in the Promise Land, but on a larger scale.

just like you'll never let me do that to you, you'r house and your people because its wrong on so many levels Israel shouldnt do that to Palestinians.

Israel isn't renovating "your house"
Theyre fixing a bridge which is currently made of wood and could fall at any moment. The work isnt even being done in the temple mount territory!

AND Jerusalem is sovereign Israeli territory.

AND Israel COULD do what their poor fellow palestinians did to JEWISH places of worship: right after the withdrawl from Gaza (Israeli-initiated withdrawl to give the Pals theyre land), the biggest temple was obliterated by the PLO.

Are you forgetting that Israel allows Muslims to regularly pray at the mount UNLIKE Joseph's Tomb which the Palestinians obliterated and Muslimified?

no, it's not your land.
Sorry, but it just isn't.
By what standards do you measure ownership of land?
1. Deed standards - Israel or Jews before Israel bought 99% of land within the '67 borders.
2. Historical standards - both Jews and Palestinians have equal claim there, so it really isnt relevant.
3. might-makes-right standard - we dont like to admit it, but this standard is what shaped our world, all of it, every corner of it. Truthfully, Israel had every right to take Jerusalem and most other territories. Gaza, which was 100% Palestinian was given back.

If you would have wanted just a Palestinian state in Palestine, it wouldve happened already. This "every inch is ours" mentality is whats holding you back.

I agree with the pro side on this one. The actual structure being worked on is not in fact a part of the mosque. Furthermore it's better to do repair work now than wait a few years, have the damn thing collapse and half the free world jump on Israel for failing to perform upkeep. Israel has a right to perform maintanence on lands recognized as it's own, much as the Palestinians do.
