Queen Elizabeth should, without a doubt, remain head of state of the Commonwealth realms and the UK.

You need a leader, despite if you think the Queen's bad. I don't think she is, I think she's actually a reputable leader. Don't take on what people have heard on the Internet. Remember - the internet is the source of disaster. Trust me.

It's tradition yeah, and I don't see why it's ridiculous, she's a head of state with not enough power, giving it to the buffoons who sit on their backside all day profitting from the crisis of England without a class. Her husband stuck with her thin and thick. Let her be the absolute ruler, a better situation than what your country is in now probably.

As a head of state she is unelected, unaccountable, and offers no significant skills. Her diplomacy is not to the quality of the British Diplomatic corps (and I would suspect, but do not know, the quality of Commonwealth DipCops). Further, regarding the diplomatic implications, her husband (though a national treasure) is the source of more gaffes than is forgivable for a diplomat.
Further, the privalage afforded to her on the basis of her role as person-born-into-position is unjustifiable when no relevant quality distinguishes her from my granny.
I move for a British Republic.

Unlike every other nation in Europe, Britain idolizes an archaic tradition for the purposes of national pride and comfort. Although it is mostly harmless, it is a touch ridiculous.
