The Death Penalty should exist for certain atrocities in the British Legal system.

I believe the death penalty should be brought back to the Great British legal system as a form of punishment for crimes such as terrorism, homicide, and possibly rape. Of course I believe that the accused would have to proven guilty beyond any doubt before such a punishment would be enforced.

To demonstrate my first reason behind this belief, I shall use the example scenario of a homicidal criminal.
If man murders another innocent man, I believe that the only rightful justice is for the perpetrator to have the same done unto him. Any thing less than an eye for an eye is (in some cases) failure in bringing the offender to complete justice.

The Death Penalty should not exist as a punishment for any crime in Great Britain.

Is it possible to prove anything beyond any doubt?

With the amount of modern Forensics they have these days I would say that it is not exactly impossible to prove something beyond doubt. So therefore I agree that the death penalty should be practiced in the Justice system. An eye for an eye.

I strongly believe that the Death Penalty should not be brought back to Great Britain, for the following reasons;
If the Death Penalty were to be brought back to Britain for someone's eerie actions, I believe that a steady rise in crimes would come about. The reason being is simple. The Death Penalty is an easy escape route for the perpetrator. They will commit the most vicious, vulgar crime, knowing that they will get an escape route, that they will not have to suffer with the consequences of their actions. The death penalty is an escape route. The criminal should be locked up, morning till night, and suffer. Suffer and be made to remind themselves everyday of their actions. They should live through with the consequences of their actions. If the Death Penalty were to be brought back to Great Britain, I can assure you now that it would be a thousand steps backwards for the human race.
