don't want to get too picky here, but are you seriously taking it as given that there is no god?

you could say that all of those things exist so regardless of which definition we are working with sin exists.

I've been saying this for decades and in the past have made arguments for it as well as have posted debates about it here. Sin is a Greek word, an archery term defined as missing the mark(bull's eye). Religionoids have co-opted the term to instill fear. What are called sin are just moral standards of society. I was not born into original sin nor have I ever sinned, I am not perfect, I have done wrong but I have not sinned

could someone define sin, or at least delineate what we are talking about?
sin against God?
sin against man?
in the illiad, the verb amartanw (which is the word translated as sin in the bible) is used to describe missing a target with a spear. are you asking if people fail to do things they mean to do?

In order for sin to exist, a god must exist first.

Maybe is just a way to name it, I'd call it crime and crimes really does exist, not necesarily against a god but against nature, life, society...

well whatever the definition of sin may be to anybody. Something against God or a religion or missing a mark which are all acceptable definitions of the word sin. The question in the debate is whether or not sin exists. Sin exists no matter how you look at it.
