Bush killed 4,000 Americans in an unnecessary war.
Wilson killed 100,000 Americans in an unnecessary war.

"did what he thought was right at the time" this is what made Bush the worst president ever. He was a sheep who didn't have the brains to think about what he was doing. So, he just followed someone elses ideology and lead us into so many disasters.

"Europe was immersed in all out war."

Yes. It was Europe's war, not ours.

"including the blown up Lusitania, unrestricted submarine warfare"

Wilson was the one who sent the Lusitania (an armed ship) in a war zone. Not expecting it to get blown up would be ignorant. U.S. entry was obviously provoked.

"Zimmerman note etcetera"

Let's discuss the Zimmerman note. The Zimmerman note was a request from Germany to Mexico for Mexico the attack the United States. Mexico refused and no Central Power ever tried to attack the U.S. homeland again.

"the United States was well within its means of declaring war on Germany."

How so? The U.S. never truly prepared for World War One until the Lusitania sunk because Wilson fabricated a promise of neutrality. And even worse, later he broke it with no good reason.

"Furthermore, Germany being the aggressor and England being somewhat of an ally to the US would give further cause to the United States."

The British empire engulfed a significant fraction of the world at the time. How was the British any better than Germany?

"Even the US couldn't remain free of the war forever. In fact, Wilson showed restraint by only declaring war on Germany and not on the Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria."

It doesn't matter whether war was declared on one or all of the Central Powers. By declaring war on even just one, all of them will declare war in return.

"In essance, he was attacking only those whom had broken the neutrality and the fiercest of attackers"

Wilson broke neutrality, not Germany. Wilson allied the U.S. with the British before the Lusitania sunk. Where do you think the Lusitania was going to?!?!

"not to mention those who broke many rules of warincluding being the first to use poisonous gas."

"The numbers that were lost were lost because of poor leadership and strategy, not entirely Wilson't choice."

We lost people. Not numbers! And if we did not get involved in WWI, we would not have lost any lives.

"Congress had to approve, and they did, heartily so."

The president has great influence over congress.

"The US was considered only an 'associate power' rather than a formal ally."

Maybe because everyone who said the U.S. was an ally was suppressed by the government. If the U.S. trades with one power during a war or fights against the other power during a war, it's an alliance.
