That is the link to the clip. This scumbag begins by saying they shouldn't speculate about whether or not captured soldier, Bowe Bergdahl, was a deserter. He then goes on to call him a "liar" and basically accuses the poor guy of being a deserter. He also accuses him of cooperating with the enemy and bashing America because he was forced to make critical statements about U.S. actions in Afghanistan. I guess John McCain is guilty of the same "crime" seeing as he made the same kinds of statements when he was held as a prisoner during the Vietnam War.

He ends by saying that if he is a deserter than the Taliban should save the U.S. the money for a legal proceeding and just kill Bowe Bergdahl.

I really wish there was some kind of legal action that could be taken against this piece of subhuman trash. I hope lawyers are offering their services pro bono to the family of the kidnapped soldier. This "person" Peters should never be allowed on television to spew this poison ever again. Advocating that enemy combatants should execute a captured U.S. soldier?! I wonder if the kidnappers get there hands on this video and show this to the soldier, how he would feel? How must his family feel at this time?

Regardless of whether or not this man is a deserter, wishing a violent execution on one of our soldiers is inexcusable and disgusting. I seriously can't believe that anyone would say this kind of garbage on national television. The stuff he was saying on the video was most likely propaganda that the taliban forced him to say, but even if it is not, I still hope our troops are able to get him out of that situation. None of our soldiers deserve this kind of treatment, especially from their own country.

Thats pretty messed up. This just goes to show how little respect for life some idiots can have.

A deserter? What is Ralf Peters problem? I have half a mind to do something about this. Of course Fox News has less than a half of a mind collectively, so naturally, I'd win.

No matter the situation, no matter the person, he shouldn't have said that. Nobody has the right to say another deserves death when it is so willingly brought upon his doorstep.

I'm all for freedom of speech, but where does one draw the line? This man literally advocated the execution of a kidnapped soldier; a soldier whose life is in the hands of some very dangerous and unstable people. I can't really think of any analogous examples but inciting deadly violence could very well be considered a crime. Not to mention that he made gravely serious accusations before any real facts had come out regarding this soldier's actions. If I were his family I would be looking for advice from lawyers to see if there would be any legal recourse against this "person".

I wouldn't be suprised if there were actually laws against this guy speaking out. The Freedom of Speach only extends so far, you cannot make threatening statements about others, publically lie about them to make them look bad, and i'm very sure that you cant do either of those things when it involves a soldier whose life is in danger.

Not entirely sure though, so dont take it to the bank.

It's called freedom of speech. He has the right to say whatever idiotic thing he wants to say. We have all heard the same thing about the prisoners at Gitmo. Where was the uprising against those comments.
Can you imagine the silence if you could magically turn off the sound of every stupid thing somebody says?
Criticize and complain as you want but don't ever try to prevent somebody from saying what they think. Remember you could be next.

Assholes, much like morons, will frequently say things that remind everyone of what an Asshole they are.

Unfortunatley for the family of the brave individual who is captured, this man is both an Asshole and a Moron and they had to suffer his words.

As horrid as his statements were, there aren't any laws against his making them, nor should there be. The US is a country where people can make almost any statement they want without the government being able to interfere and it should stay that way. The good thing, in my opinion is that most Americans hearing these kind of ridiculous statements will react just as you and I did and dismiss them as the statements of someone whose ridiculous views do not mirror our own.

Of course, MOST Americans wouldn't disagree with my statements about yo' momma. She really is so fat that her blood type is "Ragu".
