I think they have every right to. When the leader of Iran stops promising to wipe Israel off the map then maybe they won't have to react so dangerously.

Israel is the superpower of the middle east basically, you threaten them and you will get bitten. the world will not let Iran nuke Israel or Iran will be wiped off the earth by the other Nuclear powers.

Pakistan has nuclear weapons, and are Islamic, so it has nothing to do with religion, and everything to do with peace. if Germany threatened to wipe France off the map then France would wipe out their military capabilities before it occurs. Same with Israel.

If the Islamic states in the Middle east leave Israel alone and stop threatening them then they will leave you alone.

I'm reluctantly going with yes. It probably won't happen soon though. I think if Iran keeps going on the path it is on, eventually Israel will do what it has to. Unfortunately, the ramifications of such an attack might be a lot more pernicious than with Iraq and Syria a few years ago.

Didn't they already do something like this about 20 years ago? Israel doesn't mess around. If they feel their safety is in question, they wont hesitate.

Oh I know the issue more than you think.

The question of the debate is very simple and narrow. Will Israel take out any nuclear sites in Iran before they are fully developed. Obviously you can't answer it.

Ok, sorry if somehow I encroach into a sensitive subject for you, I apologise.

I really have no REAL opinion on this debate. I do not know myself whether they will or not, and I will not pretend to know. But I do think it is worth having a debate about.

I will, however, point out that whenever Israel feels threatened it reacts, and not always proportionately too. So on that bases, if the Israeli Secret Service got wind of any form of military device that could endanger them I wouldn't be surprised if they did something about it.

I also think that Iran should be trusted a bit more, they have come a long way in such little time, and have never really been an aggressive nation (I may be wrong). I feel that if the US is left in charge of any diplomatic relations worldwide, including Iran and North Korea then things will turn sour. My own experience from Americans with regards to international affair is one of arrogance, but not always ignorance. "we can not possibly be wrong" attitude.

I will swing my own argument back against me now, I have always stated that Israel has always come across as being twitchy and aggressive because it is surrounded by so many 'enemy' states so to speak. The same may be said for Iran once Pro-American governments are established to the west of Iran in Iraq, and to the east of Iran in Afghanistan. Surely they may now be feeling a bit on edge themselves? So we should not always rely on a predominantly Americanised television culture and system to teach us our opinions. Yes I did say 'teach us our opinions'. As America likes the world to have their own freedom and opinions, as long as it is the same as theirs.

The creator of this debate clearly doesn't understand the issue. That's all I'm going to say on the subject.

Bombing Iran's anything will be a huge mistake at this point. Maybe we all need to move past the rehtoric between these countries and realize that the PEOPLE of Iran want to be westernized and want peace. Eventually their will will win out.

As far as the nuke thing goes, it is folly to say that just because Iran MAYBE will develop a bomb that they will use it. Hey, the USA has the bomb and we haven't ..... ooops, we are the ones in the world that have actually dropped the bomb on someone else. In any event, since we dropped our bomb mutual distruction has prevented any further nukings. I think this practice will prevail in the middle east no matter who has the nukes.

I'll have to accept on faith that you know more about the issue than I think. It is an information age, after all, and there really aren't many secrets left when it comes to this subject.

My snarky comment was because the issue itself is strangely worded..."before they are finished". Before WHAT is finished?

Bushehr is practically finished as is, and undergoes regular testing. Natanz has been operating for years and years. Ditto for TNRC. Isfahan too. I could list them all out, but there are, no my knowledge, no sites that need "finishing". Further, Iran is performing low-enrichment to UF6, which is a ways away from weaponization. Strategically, it makes more sense to stockpile the LEU UF6 and maintain ambiguity regarding any end-use than to break out from IAEA inspections and actually pursue a weapons program.

For the record, because you're new and don't know me as well as some of my counterparts here, you're touching on my livelihood here -- so if I choose to not answer in substantive detail, it is because I choose to maintain a professional distance from a casual debate.

You set up the debate asking if they will "bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, Iran". This is a good question indeed. However, your opening statement declared they had every right to do so. You've answered a different and highly valid question. So, which queston are you looking to talk about here - will they bomb or do they have the right to?

Israel will not dare to bomb Iran's nuclear site.

This is all politics.
I believe in the "backstage" of politics all politicians know the truth and in fact agree. American's are the ones that brought the Islamic regime into Iran which caused the 1979 Islamic revolution.

Iran is a strong country. For sure Europe, USA, and Israel can bomb Iran but the problem is Iran as you have seen with the unnecessary and in some cases racial remarks of the president will go ahead and blow up Israel, the White House, anything they need to because one comes to the conclusion that the Iranian government is power and money hungry. They do not care about the Iranian people.

Another point is humanity and the question of innocent lives.
Iran has a population of about 70 million people. I understand the question here is about the bombing of the nuclear sites but politicians are smart enough to look at the obvious future.

Bomb the sites = WW3

WW3 = extreme attacks on Iran.

What about the innocent Iranians that are trying to live their lives normally and in fact as westernize as possible ?

No: Israel, the USA, and no one else will make an attack on Iran because it is to vast and to powerful of a country for them to ruin like they did to Iraq. Iran is not corrupt and there are no civil wars going on. The Iranian people will defend themselves to the extreme if they have to.

Israel would not want to intervene with Iran. Why? Iran does have a powerful military...meaning, WW3.
