Im not so sure it would be a good thing giving Brazil a permanent seat. If u give one to Brazil then u would have to look at possibly giving one to Germany, Japan or S. Korea, and Australia. If u let Brazil have one u might open up the floodgates for a number of new permanent seat appointments. im not saying that would be a bad thing but the UN already doesnt get a whole lot done and giving more Veto power to more nations may not be such a good move.

The UN Security Council is one of the most deplorable councils the UN has. Allowing a bunch of "powerful" countries to decide the future of the world is just unjustifiable. The actual system is: OK were are the ones with the money, let's decide whether that or that war is acceptable or not. Not only that, the US has the faculty to make any decision to make any resolution invalid. With that in mind, Brazil, as a representant of the whole South American sub-continent, should have a permanent seat not only because of what they mean to the world nowadays, but because with more permanent members (any country not just Brazil) you get a better democracy regarding decisions and resolutions.
