Not liking Garrison Keillor is hardly a reason to dismiss NPR. They have good news programs which are way less biased than many of the alternatives.

I used to dislike NPR as well. But that was when I was way more materiallistic and didn't care to get by news from a non-biased or privately funded company. If you like to talk about reality tv, medical dramas, or celebrity gossip, NPR is most definitely not the place for you.

Deejays suck and most music today sucks.

However, Garrison Keillor broadcasts suck more than time has ever known.

Support me on this. Don't let Garrison Keillor win out, people!

It's on Saturday AND Sunday afternoons here, for pete's sake!

I don't consider myself to be materialistic, and I think accurate news is a worthy goal. I have serious misgivings about the impartiality of NPR, especially in regards to the Arab-Israeli conflict.

However, news aside:

The station carrying NPR is the only classical station in my town and I listen to it more than any other station. However, when Garrison Keillor pop on, then I'd rather listen to Opie and Anthony. Perhaps I should make my arguments in a "Garrison Keillor: Hot or Not" argument.

(Bear in mind, I'd generally rather rub a cheese grater against my nipples than listen to them. )
