i believe that (thats what she said) is better because yo mama is just yo mama and (thats what she said) as not been around as much as (yo mama) but it is as clever. (thats what she said) goes with every thing and can be used for a good laugh every once in a while and it is a joke. unlike (yo mama) is more of an insult to people's acual mothers. of corse there as been a tv show on mtv named "yo mama" and has major success on mtv and mtv2 but the show is nothing but lots of retarted people making up sencless jokes about each others moms and they all r different! but as to where (thats what she said) can be said to everything and anything! and it is alot more entertaining than "yo mama". and thats all i have too say about that.

Yo mama used to be really offensive, when it started off. It was the kind of line that started knife fights in bars, but now its old and tarnished.

Thats what she said requires a more quick thinking as its a retort to something someone else said, not a one liner.

You have a better chance of making them laugh with the "thats what she said" line _

yo mama jokes are no longer funny. They have been used for longer than most think, and they have all been told once. Even if you think that you are coming up with a clever Yo mama joke, it probably isnt that clever and has been told before countless times.

Thats what she said, however, requires situational comic timing. One must say it at the right time, with the right emphasis and the right tone. I am sure that we have all heard a bad thats what she said joke. These make you appreciate how wonderful they are when pulled off properly.

The problem with "that's what she said" is that it requires no cleverness whatsoever. As shown in "The Office" (american) it requires much more carefull planing to make that phrase not funny than it does to make it funny. After a few times the joke starts becoming the same and you realize that despite it's seemingly infinate uses all the jokes are realtively the same and you learn to hate it.

Yo mama on the other hand can only be funny if the situation is perfect. It often apears not funny because people who are either not clever enough or patient enough use it at times when it's halarity factor is too low. But a well timed Yo mama or a witty set up can bring the laughs.

Still, I wouldn't risk saying either of the two to drunken knife-wielding gargantuans.

C'mon, is there anyone here that when hears a "thats what she says joke" doesnt immediatley want to punch whoever said it in the face because it was so lame and stupid?
