I think teens can have true love or fall in love,,....some teens even marry their high school sweet hearts or bestfriends...they are also heartbroken...adults think teens are inmature for real relationships i think this is wrong...

I am a few years, very few-removed from my 60th birthday. I have been married for 37 years to the same woman, well actually on 33 years as the first 4 years we were as was the custom in the 70s living together-shacking up before we decided to make it "legal" with a civil ceremony marriage. Anyhow we met while we were juniors in high school, 17 years old. We had instant karma yet after high school although we still dated, due to distance between us-I was on the streets doing my militant thing-looking to over turn the system and protesting against Nam, she was in college we both saw others and lived our make love not war philopshy.

Four years later when my girl graduated college, we stopped seeing others and began sharing the same abode, a habit that continues to this day. We both agreed after seeing this post that we were in love, true love in our teens although we didn't manifest it untill the dust had settled a few years later. Our last 2 years in high school set the foundation of what has been a well constructed relation

yes
the older you get
the less likely you are to have that true love
more like older people are a mix of love and conviniance(can this person support me, and then love follows)

where as young love its all about, you guessed it, unadulterated love

Well, I'm a teen. I'm in love! I love a girl with my heart and soul. Unfortunately she doesn't see me the same way. Well I feel that the feeling will spark within her at some point. I guess I just have to wait for the time to come.

Anyone can experience 'true love', regardless of age or boundaries.

True love does not always withstand the turmoils of life. So, if one experiences it while young, it may not be sufficient to nurture a relationship for a lifetime. Yet this does not mean that the love was not a 'true love'!

Yet, when it does withstand the tests and turmoils of time, it makes the rest of one's life so very sweet!

As no one can truly define love, a teenager may feel that they are in love, because love is just that, a feeling. Love is something that gets redefined and reinterpreted throughout ones life through life experiences.

everyone can have true love no matter what age you are. the problem is, because of the age, things might not work out such as dating while: trying to find a college, going to work, dealing with parents, etc.

well not really because usually in society today, teenagers are experiencing those hormonal changes. and when teens date the majority of the time it is because of sexual desire to the other person and love comes along too. im not saying that teenagers cannot have true love but your claim that love is conjoined with other factors as adults (such as convenience) can also be said about teens (conjoined with sexual desire).

Look to the divorce rate. Read the histories, of "age we fell in love". Enough said. Statistics speak for themselves.
Can teens find "true Love" YES, with their Mommas and Daddies. Unrealistic that you would find a mate or partner. BUT it is possible, just rare.

All love is true. If not, it is not love at all.

Most of the time, when teens date, they are driven by physical desires that are often triggered by raging hormones. And so, to say that "dating is symmetrical to loving," is very illegitimate to begin with.

To begin, I would like to state that love also involves the understanding of lifelong commitment; something that teens arguably are incapable of comprehending simply because they haven't encountered most human realities. Sure, some teens end up marrying each other. That's a given. However, I can still argue that during their teenage years, they were only infatuated, and then, when they matured, something happened that made them truly love each other, which means that love occurred during a mature age.

To conclude, teens simply cannot love because they cannot comprehend lifelong commitment, and therefore, are unable to grasp true love's essence yet.
