Yeah. They tell us basically what to buy and what to eat, how to dress. We would rather listen to someone with power than someone that fights the power. It's gross like that.

The Media. Isn't it scary?? There are so many victims. George Bush. Tony Blair. China. Just recently, Vanessa Anne Hudgens. From innocent girl to new Pornstar?? Bush. From savior to satan? So many people are victims of the media. You are, we are. Anorexia. People think that they have to be slim to live. They starve themselves to death. God save them. Iraq. Its a failure? At least they are now saved from Saddam....And the buns filled with cardboard in China?? They were made up by a journalist. And we thought it was real?? Mattel. The lead paint. Who wants to play with those Barbie and Batman toys anymore??!!

The media is too powerful but it's OUR fault. Most people do not seem to question what they read/hear and take it at face value. If people took a more objective view of what was fed to them then the media wouldn't hold so much power.

It's us, the people, that have allowed the media to get so powerful!

Are you a terrorist? By the way, you said that "Not only is mass television media purposefully inaccurate, it spreads those lies on a massive scale." Which obviously proves the motion: The Media Is Growing Too Powerful. Did you post it in the wrong column?? You see, if these lies manage to convince me, then the media is growing too powerful. It can influence people. It has influenced me and I have been misinformed. Thanks for proving that.

George Bush and Tony Blair VICTIMS????? Are you for real?
Innocent girl= Porn-star? Uh, like, duh, don't take pics if you don't want to have them shown or the label that goes with the stupid action.
Savior to Satan? He was born with Satan as one of his middle names.
Slim and starving to death? Heard about the Obesity Epidemic?
Iraq a failure? We don't even NEED to go there, unless you want to fight.
Buns filled with cardboard? You shouldn't be eating them anyways. Americans as a whole don't need the empty calories. Made up or not.
Mattel and lead paint? They deserve all the bad publicity and loss of profit they are receiving. Should have kept the jobs in USA instead of using cheap labor.
I think that about covers it, but if I missed anything, let me know.
GOD knows, the cynics and right wingers on this site will!
LET COMMON SENSE PREVAIL!

Have a great day! :-)

Iraqi’s are saved from Saddam!!!!!! WHAT????

Seems like you need a history lesson

Saddam was at war with Iran in 1988. Iranian soldiers were hiding our in an Iraqi town of Halabja, the location of an assignation attempt on Saddam. Saddam then used chemical weapons (which he received from the United States) against the town. Reports on how many people died are extremely disputable…Figures range from hundreds to thousands.

Now let’s look at the United States invasion of Iraq…Innocent Iraqi civilians have been killed, imprisoned, and tortured. Documented Deaths of Iraqi civilians are at 78, 564…Although some studies put the body count at over 700 THOUSAND PEOPLE…AND nearly 6 million people have had to flee the country…

It doesn’t take a brain surgeon to figure out that Saddam was much better ruling Iraq than the United States.

Not only is mass television media purposefully inaccurate, it spreads those lies on a massive scale.
