Why should women consider your feelings more than the welfare of her child?
How is it disturbing? Does the site of a breast make you uncomfortable? Maybe you should mature a bit. They don't ask you to watch. Can't you just get on with your own life instead of looking at everyone and judging them?

Poeple only find breastfeeding in public disgusting becuase we have been taught that we should cover our bodies in public.
In less developed countries, it's normal for women to breastfeed in public, in fact many organisations around the world encourage it as it is a clean and healthy way to feed a young baby.
Instead of telling a woman who is breastfeeding in public to stop, we should encourage this healthy, natural part of life. If it's too hard to accept this, surely we should be educating or informing people not to find this disgusting, not just banning breastfeeding in public places. Also nearly every other animal, however similar or different to us, feeds their young in one way or another (in public), yet we find it disgusting.
Surely its not right to put our preferences before a young child and it's health?
You may argue that stopping breastfeeding in public places doesn't harm a baby's life; however, it makes mothers more self conscience and ashamed to be breastfeeding rather than using a fortified milk powder instead, which are constantly advertised to be more beneficial to young babies than breastmilk (which is completly wrong). Overall, breastfeeding is a natural part of life, it should be encouraged not pushed away. If you find it disgusting, you should move away not a mother and her child.

You need to stop. There is a legitimate argument to both sides. No one is being sexist or mean, breastfeeding in public isn't a one sided issue.

Breastfeeding in public is distracting, odd, and out of place in public. Women should cover themselves when breastfeeding out of respect for the wishes of other people. If I see a woman breastfeeding, I might end up feeling uncomfortable. I have that right. When a woman breastfeeds in public, she is saying that she doesn't care weather she is making me uncomfortable, she is going to do it anyway. I understand that she wants to breastfeed when her baby is hungry, but if she does that without a cover or without being in private, she is prioritizing her convenience over my feelings.

There is no "welfare of the child" argument, that is ridiculous. People who breastfeed in public are not doing it because their child's life is in danger from hunger, they are doing it because it is easy and convenient, and they don't want their child crying.
I'm not saying it is disturbing, but yes, the sight of a breast does make me uncomfortable. That doesn't make me immature or childish, nor does it make me wrong. I understand your argument, but it seems similar to saying that I should be able to go to the bathroom in public.

Urinating or defecating is something that I have to do, and if the sight of me doing that makes you uncomfortable, then maybe you should mature a bit. I'm not asking you to watch, maybe you should just get on with your own life.

I understand that they aren't the same thing, but they are similar. We have laws against public nudity, for the simple reason that it makes some people uncomfortable, and people should be able to walk the streets without feeling uncomfortable. I'm not saying that women breastfeeding in public should be arrested, I'm saying that if a mother wants to breastfeed, she should use a cover, or go into a private place, so as to respect the feelings of those walking by.
