This is a tough one. I think Kobe has more basketball know-how, more moves, more all around skills, but I'd say that Lebron currently has a slight edge, because of his age and athleticism. He is an unstoppable force at his his position. He is proving this season that he has what he had been lacking all along, the killer instinct of a Kobe or Michael. He is out to prove everyone wrong, and I think he will.

In terms of physical skills and potential I have to give the King the edge, Kobe's powers are waning a bit as OKC have been keen to show. He may still go for 40 on the odd night but he is not the force he once was. Lebron on the other hand is coming into his own.

This a tough one to answer without being a bias fan. Both have that killer instincts the thing is Kobe has always needed a Big Man to win a title while Lebron dissappears in the Big Games sometimes and doesn't take the last shot when needed. If I was a Gm and I had a choice between drafting Lebron or Kobe Id take Kobe cause of the experience ,leadership, and lastly when Kobes hot he's hard to stop.

Although Kobe is CURRENTLY still better, James has one advantage, he's younger. Who will wind up the better player? Kobe isn't finished yet but as he approaches the end of his career and I take James' career so far and stretch it our for another 10 years, even adding 10% to the mix, Bryant will be the better player with more rings.

By the way, in over 60 years of NBA, few, very few teams have won without a dominant big man.
