I made this. I believe that voting is biased. People look at the username and sides before looking at the actual debate.

I believe in a little of both sides. I think a lot of it is conspiracy. I believe that if you have a bad reputation, it harms your chances of receiving votes no matter how good your arguments are. I, for some reason, have a borderline bad reputation. I would bet that most people on here will not actually take the time to read each argument, but rather look at the two debaters and/or the score of the debate and vote accordingly.

Yeah, and? What's your point? This is a totally different debate, as it's an open debate and not a one on one competitive debate. Why do you feel the need to send a link on everyone's page of our debates?

So is it wrong of me to try to get some "convinceme" points instead of sitting on a dead competitive debate where no one has voted in a while?

And plus for the record, I did NOT create this debate. So don't assume I did please.

Yeah ok, and even if that were so, I make a similar debate to possibly get a DIFFERENT person to grab the debate so it becomes a DIFFERENT debate with different arguments and outcomes. What's wrong with that Roland? I don't "abuse" the site in any way, so what's your beef with me?

I absolutely agree. It sucks. It makes you want to start over and try to act how people would "want" you to act.

I think your "bad reputation" merely rests on the fact that you make a lot of competitive debates and that you continually base debates on the same things, namely baseball and these sorts of conspiracies.

I like debating you. I have no problem with you whatsoever.
I merely pointed out a fact that I feel might contribute to you having a "bad reputation", I don't have a problem with you making debates on the subject of baseball or anything else. Others might have that problem, so I pointed it out.

I don't charm my way into things. I'm honest and what I give is purely true. But I may lose somethings. But I gain much more.

I meant it in good humour, not realising how defensive you would become.

Seriously, it's just as lame a topic now as is was in competitive mode... just now more than one person disagrees with you about it.

If by start over you mean pretending to be someone else then I think you've gotten the wrong idea.

Surely the whole point of debating is to open other peoples minds to points of view they may not have perceived in the first place.

If your point of view turns out to be a minority point of view you can either continue to argue from that perspective or asymilate what other peoiple have said into your own thought process and grow from that experience rather than just starting another blank slate.
