Please give me some examples of when the "powers" of the western world have taken a 'shoot first and ask questions later mentality". I can't think of a single time, with the exception of the invasion of Grenada, that the west has acted without provocation followed by months of talking. The current conflict in Iraq followed years of UN talks and numerous UN votes authorizing the invasions. FACTS PLEASE.

Iran could be problematic... but North Korea is out of the picture... they're shutting down their nuclear program...

I agree Russia could be a big threat to U.S. stability once again. Especially since they control the largest Oil reserves in the world.

We are in the Second Cold War. We are already in a stalemate, as we cannot bomb Al-Qaeda, or Afghani troops, as we will then break ties with the UN, and be largely unpopular in the World's Congress, surely making enemies of superpowers in the modern day society.

"Superior western powers will prevent a coldwar" and instead lead us directly into a full fledged war. All that has to happen now is for China or Russia to decide to play a more active role in the middle east or for America to start stepping on their toes in Africa and the fuse will be lit.

I am in complete agreement, the powers in the Western world have proven time and time again in the last few decades that as opposed to talking out our problems, we take the shoot first ask questions later mentality. I'm not saying we're in for a nuclear holocaust now, but WW3 is on the horizon.

War is Peace.

Freedom is Slavery.

Ignorance is Strength.

We will meet again in the place where there is no darkness...in the margins of Convinceme.net.
