Depends. A lot of athletes are really great men and women, and some are just douchebags. But even ones that cheat on their wife/husband can be good role models in other aspects.

For example CC Sabathia is rich but grew up in bankrupt and dangerous Vallejo. But yet he adds activities He added a new basketball court that looks great for the basketball tournament. And made the North Vallejo LL baseball diamond look gorgous. He didnt forget where he is from and he helps his city grow. He also has a little pitchin in Concord,CA filled with kids from Vallejo. That sounds like a roll model to me.

I agree that some athletes are great men and women, however it shouldn't just be athletes as a role model. I get what you mean by how other people cheat on their wives/husbands and how other people still look up to them, but think. Once the people that looks up to them knew that they had cheated, wouldn't it affect the way they think about them?
